STEP 1: Contact a Professional Roofing Contractor with Storm Restoration expertise
When you choose United Restoration you are choosing one of Colorado’s top professional roofing contractors who specialize in Storm Damage Restoration claims. We will examine, analyze and document all damages to your property and provide you with a written damage report. After the inspection, we will determine whether it is advisable to make a claim, at that point you can decide if you would like United Restoration to represent you through the claims process. United Restoration provides free insurance claim assistance by real insurance restoration professionals.
STEP 2: Making a Storm Damage Insurance Claim
Contact your insurance company through their claims department, your United Restoration representative will assist you with this if you are not sure what to say or who to call. Inform the insurance company that your property has sustained damage and give them the type of damage (hail, wind, etc.) and the DATE OF LOSS. At this time, let them know that a professional roofing contractor has examined the property and who that contractor is. Your insurance company will give you a claim number at this time, write this number down and provide it to your United Restoration representative for reference and future insurance claim assistance.
STEP 3: Insurance Adjuster Meeting
An insurance adjuster will contact you within 48 to 72 hours of making a claim to schedule an appointment at your property. Inform them that your United Restoration representative will meet them and that you would like them to be present for the inspection on your behalf. When you select United Restoration, we will discuss the damages and scope of work with the insurance adjuster. This includes all measurements, pricing and any code upgrade requirements necessary to bring your property back to it’s original condition, or even better than it was before the storm.
STEP 4: Insurance Claim Summary
Your insurance company will send you a “scope of loss” summary containing the list of damages recorded, repairs being covered and the payments associated. Along with the summary will be your first installment called ACV (actual cash value payment). It is important to review this with your United Restoration representative to ensure that it’s complete and accurate for damage coverages and Real, True and Accurate professional contractor regional prices are paid to you. At this time, you will determine repairs to be made and products to be installed with you United Restoration rep by completing a United Restoration Material Order in which you will get to hand pick the products we use on your home .
STEP 5: The Roofing & Storm Restoration Repair Process
When you choose United Restoration as your roofing and storm restoration contractor we will set a date to install your new roof that is flexible for you and your family. Most Roof installs with us are a 1 DAY PROCESS, its that simple. After the install our Roof Inspector will come out to make sure your roof is completed and to answer any additional questions you may have regarding the installation or claims process.
STEP 6: Certificate of Completion
Once your repairs have been completed by us we will send a final invoice and certificate of completion along with any supplements to the insurance company. This will release any remaining funds being withheld. This is called recoverable depreciation. In some cases an additional check called a “Supplement” will be released if the initial Insurance claim amount wasn’t paid correctly and the Insurance company’s pricing was inaccurate (too low) for Real True and Accurate professional contractor regional rates.
STEP 7: Final Payment And Warranties
Upon receipt of final installment, United Restoration will provide you with warranty information for products from the manufacturers we’ve installed (for certain products this will come in the mail directly from the manufacturer). A United Restoration lifetime workmanship warranty will also be issued which covers our labor for the lifetime of your roof. Our Insurance Claims Assistance program is simple and effective.
